Dion McGregor - The Flight. Dion McGregor was a songwriter in the 50’s and 60’s who talked in his sleep. He didn’t just mumble, he narrated stories in an intelligible, conversational voice and his roommate Michael Barr recorded them. I’m not sure I totally buy it, but there seems to be little scepticism about him. In any event, I don’t really care, the recordings are still fantastic. I love the ambient sounds of new york in the background and his bizarrely inventive stories. This one is about a balloon trip to the moon.
