Word, in greenpoint, looks good. My favorites are Three Lives & Co, Skyline Books, & Bonnie Slotnick Cookbooks, though my favorite book store name has to be “Unoppressive Non-Imperialist Bargain Books”
WORD is my new favorite neighborhood bookstore. It is dreamy— there are readings, scrabble nights, the heralded “staff picks” (the sole reason I hope to one day work at a bookstore), and even a dang book club. They are reading The Remainder right now. I think it’s time to make some new nerdfriends. Also, Rick Moody and everyone’s favorite (heh) Tao Lin are both reading in Sept. Hello bookstore of my dreams, I’ve been waiting for you all my life.Where is this? My favorite bookstores are St. Marks Bookshop and McNally-Jackson.
