Dump - 1999 (Prince Cover). Dump is James McNew of Yo La Tengo (wait, peter where ya going?). Dump released an album of all prince covers, brilliantly titled “That Skinny Motherfucker with the High Voice?” This version of 1999 sounds like he is accompanied only by a casio and maybe a drum machine and recorded it in his bedroom. I love how slow and dream-like it is.
